YZF-R1
Superbike performance for the street
You watched in awe as Rossi
swept the MotoGP Championship two years running. You
saw "Nitro Nori" slide
his factory R1 to wins in World Superbike. And you dream:
What's it like to twist the adrenaline handle on a bike
like that?
Now's your chance to find out. Because the new YZF-R1
is as close as you can get to riding a World Superbike.
The brilliant handling qualities that put Rossi and Haga
on the podium are waiting for you in the new R1.
Running the same uprated frame, swingarm and engine
as the incredible SP, the new R1 will take your riding
ability to whole new level.
New swingarm
New CF die-cast aluminium swingarm is 16mm longer. Lightweight
and very rigid it ensures optimal traction and great
feedback.
New frame
Like the SP, the new R1 gets the new race-developed frame
with revised stiffness balance and re-engineered engine
mounts for superb handling qualities.
